NHRC Online Internships 2025

Short-term Internship Programme

Besides the regular summer and winter internship programme which are held in May-June and December-January every year, NHRC also offers opportunities throughout the year except during months of May-June and December-January, to students from various streams especially from law stream, to have attachment with the Commission in batches on short-term basis for a period of 15 days. During the internship, the students are exposed to the functioning of various divisions of the Commission. They are also made aware of the process of complaints being attended to by the Commission as well as other issues being taken up. Allowing them interaction with the complainants also is an important feature.

  2. Group Projects: Work on human rights-related group projects.
  3. Book Reviews: Participate in book review activities.
  4. Film Screenings: Watch and analyze films related to human rights.

Eligibility Criteria for NHRC Internship:

  • Educational Background:
    • Undergraduate students in their 3rd year (5-year degree courses) or final year.
  • Postgraduate students from any semester/year.
  • Students pursuing postgraduate diploma courses.
  • Research scholars in any stream.
    The students pursuing Graduation, LLB, Masters including relevant field of Human Rights, Integrated Course (BBALLB, B. Com LLB, BALLB… etc) can apply for the online internship at NHRC, according to eligibility criteria mentioned in the Advertisement.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 60% in Class 12.
  • Documents Required:
    • Statement of Purpose explaining why you wish to join the internship.
    • Self-attested marksheets.
    • Recommendation letter from the Head of Department (HoD), Dean, or Principal.

    • Key Details of the NHRC Internship:

    • Duration: 12 days from 13.05.2025 to 23.05.2025
    • Application Period: Apply in may 2025 (Limited time only).
    • Mode: Fully online.
    • Stipend: ₹2,000.
    • Certificate: Certificate of Participation awarded based on punctuality, discipline, and active participation in online sessions.
    • The maximum age limit of students applying for internships is 28 years, computed as on 01/04/2025.
